The Last Hour

They stand high
Those twin towers
Like trees touching the sky
Like brothers, though, not knowing their last hour

Their last hour is not heaven
A metal bird crashes into one of the brothers
The last hour was 9/11
The brother struggles

That last hour was sudden
As the tower crumbles, noise, screaming, on and on
The last hour, U.S.A is stunned
The tower, his brother is gone

The author's comments:
Soon we will be celebrating Memorial Day. A time to remember those fallen for our country. This poem is to honor a different kind of fallen. The World Trade Center Towers (Twin towers) are also among The Fallen. This is in honor to those towers that fell where many perished.

Great writing.  Keep up the great work and thoughts and you will be writing your own songs to sing in no time!
