Happiness
You can't tell yourself you're happy if you're not.
It's like trying to tell yourself that it's gorgeously sunny outside when it's actually raining - like tears streaming incessantly down your face while you valiantly attempt to smile.
Happiness is elusive- it drops by as if on accident, rather than being like God granting you the millions of the dandelion, eyelash and star wishes you have made for happiness' company.
You desperately hope, in your darkest moments, that your beautiful best friend you have never met will throw open your bedroom door wise, singing the sweetest melody you have never heard, and hand you a steaming bowl of joy.
Alas, imagination never satiates like reality.
