I am awake,
Ready to run,
Ready to ride.
I am a car.
My shoes lace up,
My perfect wheels.
My paint job,
A track t-shirt.
I take in the outside air and fill my lungs.
Sipping water,
My gas.
I am a car.
My wheels speed down the pavement,
Pulling me behind.
My eyes steer me past roadblocks and pedestrians.
But like any car,
I must stop and refuel for my next run.
But for now I untie my wheels
Put them in the closet
And leave them until my next ride.
