The Wrong Day
I set my clock for seven,
but woke up at eleven.
I shot up like a champ.
Slam! as I hit the floor.
I flew for my shoes,
tripped, Smack! as my fish bowl spewed.
Rocketing to the bathroom, fish in hand. Threw him towards the toilet and he sunk like sand.
Like lighting I went for my clothes, threw them on in an awkward pose.
Backpack in hand, as I ran like a raging bull through the door.
Hit the sidewalk. straight I went,
immediately drenched with fear and sweat.
Looked to my right, school now in sight. Faster, faster I flew by.
Reached for the door, Boom! Locked. glanced at my watch, Saturday, 12 o'clock.
