“Courtney, you idiot” he barks
Anger crawls up his face,
Making a fun family outing, a trip of torture,
Every conversation another fiery world war.
Ready with his next comeback, he suffocates my compliment.
Overlooking my shredded heart, he
Never slides off his rock solid grudge.

This is an acrostic poem about my little brother.
