Our Tree
fruit
is what we are
growing together, waiting to be picked
both of us, growing as we act
either rotting or ripening
we hold onto the branch
we need to be held; to be comforted
our tree is our mother
a mother is what we need
we need each other to share our love
so hold on (don’t let go)
we see some fall; but we aren’t like them
so please...
hold onto the branch
soon we will be picked
for we are special, wanted; we just need to ripen more
...just hold on...
we need our tree
don’t let go.
