The Only Remains
The only remains of my past are but bloodstained ashes finding their way into my eyes. I hold the secrecy that is used to captivate my heart. My fingers gently gliding through my hair as my nails dig their way into this marbled wood. Forced to meet my gaze at this façade.
Lurking beneath the shadows as I walk past my duplicate.
Whispers trudging through this gaping wreck into my consciousness. Images dispersed throughout my mind only vaguely remembered. Petrified of the light, hiding behind a red blanket.
Scared of darkness, yet consumed in its rays.
The only remains of my past are nothing but porcelain shards piercing my heart.
