I see you standing there,
Stand so perfectly,
You look my way,
I hid my face,
Of the fear you’ll see my tears,
If only you know the truth,
Why can’t you see it?
It’s hidden in my eyes,
The truth I fear you’ll find,
My face shows my every worry,
But you just walk by without even looking twice.
My smile is masked with all my sorrow,
Yet you don’t even notice how much it pains me to see you day after day,
Without you saying a single word to me,
Just once I wish you would notice me,
Or the tear running down my cheek,
And ask me “Are you okay?”

A year ago I was just sitting in my room listing to music and the first couple lines of the in this poem hit me and I wrote them down thinking they could turn into something some day, and then one day I deiced to try to add to it and that’s how I got this poem. What inspired it? I guess it was what every teenage girl is thinking about... Boys! It was boys who inspired me, I wish boys would notice when something was wrong with a girl and ask her what was the matter.
