Black and White Dress
She runs up to see her friend,
 Her soul
 She spins around with joy
In her black and white dress
Ready to be reminded of her forgiven sins
 She prances around

 She runs away
 Never comes back
 A promise made
 And broken

The distant noise, above the ceiling
 The silence of her breathing
 She lays there, asleep forever

 The morning light shines in
 The little girl awakens
A new day is to come

 Something is not right -
 A sudden feel of death
 Surrounds her body.

 The cries and whispers
 Murmur her name
 The secrets untold
Unleashed with just a few breaths

 Her soul is gone
 And there lies her dress

 Stained red.
