Childhood Within Reach

My childhood,
Seemed to fade away
In those days
I had no bills to pay.
I can close my eyes
See those days.

Childhood dreams
Filled with fun,
Count down until you open your eyes
Hide and seek with the girl you love.
Warm rains making you laugh.

Long ago,
Maybe by chance,
Under my bed
Those monsters danced.
Through the years I always looked back,
Imagination running wild.

My eyes so bright,
Summer days flying my kite.
The birds sing their morning song,
Astounding days,
Star filled nights.

Remember,
The friends you meet,
The places you visit,
But most of all the
Memories you created.

You really do have a perfect way of illustrating childhood, which helps express why it can be so hard to let these kind of things go. Easy to relate with a good flow!!! Please check some of my stuff out if you think I'm privileged enough to get some of your advice :)

Life is not measured by the number of breaths you take... but by the moments that take your breath away.

This is great! You illistrate childhood so perfectly! Good job!
