The Rain Beats Down
Teardrops trickle down my stem
dripping sadly from leaves far up in the sky.
Heavy petals hang my head,
dirt slowly melts to mud.
My stem bends over,
as the rain beats down on my shrunken form.
Dark clouds march across the sky
while thunder beats it’s drum.
Cold puddles form around my feet,
as nature’s tears poor down.

Sometimes rain can give a sad or gloomy effect, and that's what my piece is about.
