A Single Rose
Flowers everywhere
An endless sight
An endless meadow
against a sunny sky
Flowers of every color
Surrounded by green
The breeze so cool
I don't want to leave
As I look around
I notice something strange
All alone on a a little hill
and within range
I gaze at it
and what I see
A single rose
Just for me
Just sitting beside it
The color so red
Life fire it glows
Burning in my head
The smell so sweet
It's power so great
A single rose
without a name
