Wood Compared To Love

Your love is like a block of wood,
Strong and supportive.
Sometimes your love is a different
Story.
The block once strong and supportive becomes
Cracked, tattered, and
Torn apart.
Your love crumbles in a way that breaks
My heart,
But I swear I’ll make it
Through.
One day I’ll feel brand
New.
No longer broken apart;
Someone will come along and
Fix my heart.
They will be my true block of
Wood,
My support system and
My work of art.
