A Night of Silly Jealousy
Rolling my sullen lips along a lovely omen,
I wonder,
How can infatuation blacken my eyes,
Its power engulfing my eyelids?

A Night of Wonder
Encouraging small pleasures,
I delay the mighty change,
Aware with sweeping strokes across your bare chest,
Seemingly orange in the shining halo of my silken arms.

A Night of Helplessness
Trust sits beside the bed,
Remorseful in your sudden wake.
Blankets conceal the doubts
Conspicuous on your sallow forehead,
Like folds in the weary fate you fumble upon.

A Night of Alleviation
Word associations puzzle my arms and legs…
They yearn for liberation from scents of worry,
Crossing our room in graceful pacing.
You kiss me,
Tasting like stability and cure for my ailing.

A Night of Worry
Injustice treads on your ringing whispers.
A “friend” has called.
Petty nerves flee from my throat in haste.

A Night of Realization
Progress sleeps between our heated heads.
Impulse offers to wait on hand and weary foot…
I plead the sixth to love you more.
In lasting echoes your heart puts its solidity
Against my agitated heart with a white flag,
Waving for me to open an attractive, white box.
