The sound of guns firing
The smell of a foreign country
A sharp pain under your gear
Wounded!
Fighting through the pain
Its life or death
Family runs through your head
Lying on the floor of the earth
Hoping someone comes
Crawling to where it’s safe
A trash can to hide in,
Being held hostage
Still fighting for life
Family can’t escape your head
Got to make a runaway
Slowly hurled upright
The pain is unbearable
Friends find you shaking,
In fear of terrorists
WAR!
