I ove you as this mask that hides my truth

As my soul pours unspoken words,
My shallow breathing thuds my heart
in a rythm of agonizing lover's grief.
I am numb from the thoughts
That clog my brain.
Too much to process
is what is thrown my way
With your irrepressable presence.
You tear me bit by bit
with your devastatingly naive eyes
That cannot see through this masquerade
I put on display.
Your shielded brain can't translate
the lies of my apparant serenity. My mind is more divided with every word
that passes through.
And sanity has given up
its quest to conquer.
Sleepless nights lie infront of me,
And dreary days taunt.
Tonight I want a storm to calm me,
But the defiant clouds say not.
