“We’ll never fight again”
Said my brother to me
Things will be like they are supposed to be

Living, laughing
Hugging, smiling

Come one day passed
Promises that once seemed so certain
Have faded
Like the embers that remain from a
Campfire

Faded into
Clawing, scratching
Swearing, hitting

brother promises

This poem is mostly about my brother and I and how we promise to never fight
