no don't acknowledge me
every look makes me wonder
your eyes pour into mine
the lightening before the thunder.
you can't keep me confined but
you keep me running back
I've already decided,
you're the one who is going to show me
what heartbreak feels like.
I'm not saying you can use me
(but you can)
I'm not saying I'm yours
(but I am)
don't get confused
don't burn me too badly
you're the one who stole my heart
with a causal hello
They all say this won't end well
They all warn me
forbid me
i can't fall for you They say
too late
too bad
control was something surrendered long ago
when you said I was cute
when you winked
when a look from you
would silence whatever I was thinking completely.
when I tripped and stumbled
right into your not so welcoming arms
you'll hold me
cause you like my attention
you'll never love me
cause that'll make you a liar
and They wouldn't want that
would They.

The author's comments:
Its about a boy, those ones you fall for even though they are never going to reciprocate anything you put out there for them. Still you try and make them smile, desperately hoping one day they'll deem you good enough to love in return. Though you think they are the best thing in the world, most often times, they turn out to be the biggest jerks.
