Unable to think, to see
Knowledge it could never be
With that my heart betrayed me
Spoke an unwanted epiphany

To belong with someone else
Says to put you on the shelf
But to keep you to myself
The only option, without help

Telling you I love you so
I cannot simply let you know
And I don’t want to let you go
Steadily stick with status quo

Nothing else that I can do
So harsh to say it’s all on you
It’s all about what and who
How my heart has split for two

Things aren’t all as they seem
Not while plotting with this devilish scheme
My feelings it’s prepared to deem
Could it be a ghostly dream?
