Camping in the warm summer
Waking up earlier than any of my family members
Gravel crackling as I place my foot on to each pebble,
Making my way down slowly to the calm lake
My peaceful getaway
Feeling the soft, cool breeze on my bare shoulders
The birds singing their continuous melody,
While I stand, glancing at this nature before me
Waves brushing up against the untouched rocks
Fish occasionally poking their curious heads out,
Leaving behind a slight ring in the still water
The bright sun shining high in the clear sky,
Reflecting off of the blue-green lake
The gentle wind soothes my thoughts
Quiet and relaxing
My peaceful getaway
