The truth about everything

Sometimes we see only what we want to
We twist and distort the pictures to make it pleasing to our eyes
We re-write and re-arrange the words to make them what we want to hear
We smooth over the jagged edges
Erase what we dont want to see
We conform it to fit our own image
And we defend what we have made ourselves believe what is truth
But we know deep down its not
For our happiness
But were simply denying what we know is real and putting in place of it
Our happy little fantasies.
