Here it sits alone
Crunchy and colorless
Once upon a time i was green
I was full of
Life
then
Hip and all
I would hang with others
Now I'm crawled up away from the cold
Fragile but useful
Again and again I've seen the cycle restart
that is until
It's my turn
A rainbow I was
Energetic and full of beauty
I crumble as I try to hold my shape
But
Others are willing to transform me
I could be every color you had in your closet
But
Now as I look down I'm dull and barley existing
The more I remember
the more I crumble
the less I become.

My poem was inspired by a trip my class and I took aorund our school. It's amazing how you really can write a poem about anything. Did you know it was a leaf?
