I will not tamper
With the words on the page
For they are my own
Not yours to change.
I like it the way it is,
The words black
Against a pure white page,
A wild emotion
That cannot be compared.
The words are gentle
but do not come without warning
They yell sweet nothings
But scream in despair.
Now I ask you again,
Hopefully to be final,
Don't tell me to change
The inky blood
Of my poem
