As I walk into the garden,
A bright cascade of color
Greets my eye.
Assailed by the sounds of
Singing birds, chirping crickets and
Buzzing bees.

The melodious song of the birds
Washes over me.
The gentle breeze
that carries
the scent of the delicate blossoms
Lulls me into a trance.

Yet – in the midst of all this Beauty
One flower lies alone
Apart from the others
Separated by its beauty.

A curved stem
Blowing gently in the breeze
Bright purple petals
Tinged with touches of

White.

I close the gate behind us
Promising to come back
Another day.

This is absolutely beautiful. I hope you continue to write some more poetry.
