Falling down, thinking I'm going to hit the ground.
Then suddenly caught by my friends, I rise to my feet and look to see smiling faces.
They tell me, "You're immune to gravity around us, you will never fall, because we will always catch you."
Fear is imaginary when they're by my side.
Darkness doesn't exist and pain is numbed out.
My tears can't fall, instead they only retreat.
Sadness turns to joy and my demons disappear.
I seem to become illuminated and glow with a potent smile.
Treading on a difficult path with my friends as my shadow, they hold me secure and tight.
With no possibility of falling I keep moving on, climbing this mountain that is called life.
Trekking with speed, given strength from my friends, they give me the boost I need, overcoming any obstacle.
Always in their arms, I have not far to go when I need sanctuary.
Near them, crying isn't possible.
Around them, pain is nonexistent.
You see, my friends are never far, for they are my shadow.
