The waiting room is crammed with
carefully arranged
sticky nylon chairs.
Magazines clutter the coffee table,
amid ads for invisalign and whitening products.
False smiles and perfectly white teeth.
The name of the brand is Trés White,
which I find pretty ironic.
Don't mix French with English,
my teacher would say.
But I can kind of see why they did.
Very White,
in French,
translates to trés blanc.
I guess that doesn't sound quite as appealing
Who wants black teeth?
They have mastered the art of sounding
fancy,
without actually being technically accurate.
Geez, I hope they don't have the same motto
For the actual product.
