Alex Lambert is my idol
Getting so close but not close enough.
Feeling like you were outdone.
You get up on the stage, waiting to be called.
Finding out that you weren’t the one.
People adored you from the start,
They voted for you to stay in the race.
You got up on stage and sang your heart out,
But your shyness slowed down your pace.
America jumped when you lit of the stage,
All the girls screamed out your name,
You were their idol; there is no doubt about that,
Even though sometimes Simon thought you’re notes were flat.
From Dallas to Hollywood, you were the shining star.
The judges loved you, when you played your guitar.
Walking down the long aisle, to see if you were in the top,
When you found out you did, you completely dropped.
First week of idol, you were kind of scared,
But everyone could tell that you cared.
And then you had found,
That you made it through the first round.
Second week, the nerves went a little away,
People could see your great display.
Thursday came again and you were excited to see,
That the judges and America agree.
Last week in the top 16,
Singing the song “Trouble”, for everyone to adore.
Trying to sound amazing
And not like a bore.
The results were in for the top 12,
Right now it is do or die.
It was between you and Andrew,
And you’re the one who had to say goodbye.
You are a star,
You shine like one too,
But always remember,
We fans do love you.
