Sometimes I feel lost,
And I wonder if people care,
I sit alone to protect myself,
And pray a little prayer,
Lord why do I feel this way?
Do some people really care?
This is all I ask of you in this little prayer.

When I am sad or confused,
I never really want to talk,
Cuz the only way to know He's there,
Is to sit alone and pray that prayer,
And a new question gets asked,
Why am I different?
I cry when I ask this sometimes.

Then a good friend,
Comes along and tells me that they are here for me,
As I hold back the tears,
I silently pray this little prayer,
And add another question,
Knowing that the lord is there,
Is this friend always going to be there?
This is another question,
In this little prayer.
