Don't Feed Me Lies Sealed With A Kiss

Today I was thinking about you
And I didn't realize I had started to cry
Until my cheeks were streaked black
And my eyes were bloodshot red
You told me you were over me
One hundred percent you said with a smirk
Though I'm not anywhere near over you

You make it so hard to hate you
And no matter how hard I try
The memories come flooding back
Along with my love for you

I realize something that very second
Though I want you to want me back
I would never go back
You broke my heart not once but twice already
And I know you would do it again

I can't take your lies
The ones sealed with a kiss
You would do anything to make me believe everything was better
I'll accept your kiss
And your "loving" hug
Yet I'll keep it to myself that
I don't believe a word you say anymore

And if you want my trust back
You will have to earn it
So suck it up
Be a man
And don't tell me something you don't mean
Even if you know
That it is something I wanna hear

Wow...I feel the sorrow in this. I can relate so much and unfortunately that isn't something to be proud of but I know where you're coming from. I know. You are an amazing writer. One of my favorites now on TeenInk :)
