Criticizing the World
I find myself looking at this so called paradise we live in
trying to see when it went wrong.
Asking why with no answer given
must we condemn ourselves to a tainted glory.
Taking away the very foundations
of a swaying building.
Trying to fix the faults of others,
without taking note of our own.
Grasping perfection,
only to throw it down the well.
Giving false hope to the masses
only to set them up for their fall.
Why must we destroy this world that we breathe in,
like a setting sun our beauty is short,
the end near.
