I wrote this poem for you
because I love you with all of my heart.
I'm writing this poem for you,
But I don't know where to start.
I want to say everything that I feel,
And you'll really know,
Everything I want to say-
So first off I love you so.
I love it when you hold me close,
Up against your chest.
I love it when you whisper,
That I'm the total best.
I hate it when you leave me,
Even if it isn't for long.
I love when you come back,
I want to break out into song!
When we kiss and you hold me,
I feel like I could fly.
But when it stops,
I want to cry.
I hate how when I'm sad,
and I tell you, you say it hurts you.
Because when you hurt,
That hurts me too.
I hate that you have to leave,
Even though it's not far away.
I hate it so much,
because then I won't see you every day.
I'm not sure what else to say,
That's a first for me...
Seeing as I'm a writer,
Words are my specialty.
I wrote this poem for you,
so you would know it all.
But there are words that don't cover,
What I feel overall.
There are feelings way to special,
To put into words.
So I guess that defeats the purpose,
Of writing this poem of verse.
