Keith
Only two minutes to speak with him. After that, he will vanish in a haze of smoke and bullets. I did what I vowed I wouldn’t do. I cried. I cried like I did when I was three; loud noisy wails that were being absorbed into the cotton of his uniform.
Damn them all.
He promises he’ll be back for my birthday. He brushes away my tears and stands up. I bid him farewell and he waves his hand, saying so long.
Goodbye Goodbye.

Kevin
Where did you go, O’ brother of mine?
I haven’t seen you,
Will I see you?
Before you cross the ocean blue
To fight for the country sacrificing you?
You are like a suckling to its dam.
You say you were born to do this, and that there was no other choice.
There are more choices than you know.
So come here my brother,
Let me see you once more,
Before I sink to the floor.
Crying crying everyday,
Since my brother has gone away.
