As I recall our memories
I realize how you really meant to me

I find myself asking the same old thing
Why did this happen to you?
Why to me?

You were not just a father
But a role model to set me free
You watched as i faced tough decisions
You were there when i came upon new tribulations
Smiling, always know I'd do the right thing

Without you though
I'm lost in this unforgiving sea
Drifting,
As I lose a special part of me

You were my guiding star, my encouraging breeze
Except now my star dims, my breeze slows to ease
I lay here adrift, wandering aimlessly
My confidence fades
And with it all I believed
Alone, I search for answers, which are always out
of reach

I find my self asking the same old thing
Why did this happen to you?
Why to me?
