Like fifty eyes
Probing into your darkest secrets
Unveiling your flaws layer by layer
Invading your soul
Held together
By the shear fear of embarrassment
Forcing out shaky words
Stumbling over syllables
All the while
Uncontrollable, subconscious
Nervous tapping
Finally the immense mental obstacle ends
As she takes her seat
The flush begins to fade
Catching her breath, calming her nerves
Faintly applause is heard
