Thank You
This is a poem to my father
whom I owe so much to
whose love and care have provided
me with endless opportunities to make the
most of—with showing success— proving that I have
tried to make the most of.
I have thought of all the times you have pushed me
through my laziness
to try and make me something
great because you knew I had it in me.
I thought I knew everything
but you proved I did not
but for my own good.
I see that you knew me better
than I did and even through my times of downfall
you never gave up on me,
pushed me,
helped me,
taught me how to persevere through hard times and still come
out on top. This is a poem for you dad,
that I write out of gratitude
and love
for all you have provided me with.
