Backwards
I once heard of a boy
He used words as a toy
Whenever people would converse
He would say what they said in reverse
So when someone said, “This day is pleasant”
He laughed at their amazement
When he said “Pleasant is day this”
And walked on with dismiss
When they said to him, “Why do you talk like that?”
He just looked at them and smiled back
And said, “That like talk you do why?”
And they didn’t know what to say except, “My, my”
So one day I decided to play a trick
I wanted to see if he thought quick
So I said, “Backwards this say to try”
And he simply smiled and denied.
