The Stars
Shimmering as though the only remains of some long forgotten magic,
A reminder of some glorious, ancient masterpiece,
For thousands of years they have shone – forever guarding their secrets,
Watching as history unfolds before them,
The mysteries of the night are clear to them,
They guide men safely home or onto dangerous grounds,
They follow their predestined courses perfectly,
Yet mischievously hide behind clouds,
Or seem intensely close then suddenly far,
The stars – Beautiful, Inspiring, and Untouchable.
