"Though dreams can be deceiving like faces are to hearts, they serve for sweet relieving when fantasy and reality lie to far apart." -Fiona Apple

Looking outside your silver bars
Wishing you knew where you were
You feel like a caged animal
They are telling you where you belong
Where you are supposed to be
They say this is home
But it could not be farther away from home if it had to be
You are not going to live in this illusion
It has been far too long
You've grown cold
Seeing your reflection through the cracks
There you are
The animal they trained you to be
They clipped your wings
They tied your arms
The color you had faded to white
And you are all monotony can be
You gave into the traps of the world
And you became everything you said you would never be
You can fight
Scream
But they changed you
Enslaved
Trapped
All because you gave up
Just to fit in.
