A thousand memories ago
When I was a tiny kid
In a big bed with a sea of blankets
And it was summer as long as I could remember
I would play n the water all day
Feeling weightless as the water held me up
My mom’s hands smooth with the smell of lavender
My dad’s hands rough with the smell if oil
Both reaching out for me. Mom trying the help and dad trying to show
In my own little dream land and probably a million dreams wondered through me wondrous world
As my mind and fantasy mixed together
And I in my brand new world
Which was not reality just yet?
Told my dreams secrets
And thought god could really see
The water, the weightless girl,
Memories, dreams, eyes, good morning
