Don't you remember me?
You tried to forget.

You thought if you pushed me into
the shadows I'd disappear,

But I am a part of you
And I can't be erased.

You thought if I was just a Memory, I'd be easily forgotten

You were shadowing my life,
Filling it with darkness.

I like this, the shortness of it gets the point across well. Nice flow.
