You take me by the hand
And lead me down the path
Flowers are blooming brightly
Birds singing songs
Of gratitude and—
Tranquility
I turn to face you and your
Eyes meet mine—
Connection, undefined
The butterflies within me begin
To stir and flutter furiously
Smiles sparkling
Like stars on a summer night
We kiss—and it’s magical
Then my eyes open and
I’m alone—you are nowhere in
Sight
My heart sinks down to my
Stomach and I am back to me—
It was just a dream—
Tomorrow I hope I never wake
Up—
For I miss you too much
Please just come
Back.
