Dangerous Love
One thousand words spoken too loud
Held inside for too long
The longer you waited for me how your eyes burned brighter and brighter in anger
How when you first put your arm on mine how it tingled with excitement
How it had led to the second time tingling with pain
I wasn't ready for your gaze held fast to my pain
I wasn't ready for the words that came out wrong
“I'm sorry I just couldn't control myself I love you so much.”
And I felt myself melting again
Pouring at your feet
And just like that I forgave you as if you were the only one left for me
As if I was stupid enough to know you were telling the truth
for the time being
Bruises blooming on my skin
Scars marking where your hands had flown across my skin
And still you tell me you love me
And thats a lie
Because love is gentle touches and warm hugs
Not looking down at someone as you push them to the ground and thinking
“I am above her. No longer are we equal, no longer are we one.
I am above her.”

From me: "The Point of writing isn't so others can understand what's going on in your mind. It's so you can understand what's going on inside yourself."
By me: "Who needs you when I have these yellow lines on this road?"
