I went to a forgotten world
Where there was no air
Glistening bubble float towards
The surface of earth
I explore deeper and deeper
Sinking my feet in the rich sand
The beads of sand tickle my feet
School of fish scurry away
Mistakening me for a fierce creature
I dance freely
A mermaid, I convinced myself to be
I fin my way to the forest of sea weed
Green silk wraps around my body
Small fish peek out from hiding
The rigid rocks
Are sprinkled with color
The rocks are the crayons
Of this ancient canvas
The sun barely beams through the water
This is no hidden world
Especially if light finds its way in
My air is decreasing
I wish i could stay forever
Swimming towards humanity
I look down at the forgotten world
The silence of water moving gently
Comforts me and my soul
I know it will always be here forever
I smile
I breathe as I get got birth again

When asked about race...

"Well, when I went to the bathroom I was Russian, and when I came out I was Finnish."

or, alternatively:

"Irish I could tell you."

I liked your analogy of the rocks being like crayons. What a nice visual.
