The Velvet

March 10, 2010
By Anonymous

White specs, white ruffles,
ripple through the water.

Water is velvet,
blue as night.

Night is not dark,
sun has set,
but sky still dusk
as we drift by the sea.

Waves come from,
the big ship.
Lumps of ocean,
swim through
the ruffles,
the dusk,
The velvet.

i love the ending, the way you end it with all the aspects you addressed in the poem. brilliantly written!
