Disgrace
Look at you-
 calm and cool,
 and me on hostile strings
 You look me up
 and try your luck,
I’ll give you what you need
 She lied to me,
crossed borders just to score a little blow
And though they told me not to cave,
well, now, they told me so
 But listen here
 and heed my word,
 I know you pretend well.
 You fooled me once,
 yeah, shame on you,
 but twice,
 shame you to Hell.
 Addicted to this death sentence,
lay down to quell the crave.
 We called the cops
 and changed the locks,
 We must delay the grave.
A cell is what you need to see
 to keep you aboveground,
resist our pleas and shoot your speed,
 it snakes without a sound
 right through your veins,
 the pain surmounts,
 concealed by paper gown.
And when it comes undone that day,
Our hearts won’t cease to pound.
But know you killed us in your wake,
 escaped, pray Heaven-bound.
So when you think to ring me next,
 remember what I said:
“If you’re lying to me now,
 don’t ever call again.”
 Retract your word,
 swear up and down
you’re done with that for good,
 then take my help,
 exchanged for drugs,
and stoop where you once stood.
Disgrace does not explain the feelings
 fired in me now,
or answer questions I’ve choked out-
“How could she do this? How?”
