Soulmate
You are the air that I breathe,
The stars, the moon, the sun,
Which greets me at dawn,
And wraps me in endless warmth,
That caresses my cheeks with a sigh,
Which sheds hot tears at my side,
And whispers the truth which I need,
To understand who I am,
So I may face the mirror truthfully,
With no self doubt or frustration,
Just complete honesty and confidence,
Because you’re there behind me,
Holding my hand through it all,
Telling me you love me no matter what,
Is all I need to believe,
As you love me for me because you can see,
The soul behind these knowing eyes,
Which could lie and no one would know,
Only you, because you know me inside and out,
Soul, heart and mind,
You know me well.
