It is quite nice outside, I have heard,
But how to trust that one little word?
Because, outside, danger lurks,
And so I stay with what I know works.
Outside, there is dancing and light.
Inside, there is no need to fight.
Outside, I see smiles and kind eyes.
Inside, no need to worry that they tell lies.
In the shadows, I’m still not alone
For there are many who call this realm home.
No one quite prepared to say
That yes, in fact, they are…
