Is anybody there?
No one answered.
I laid upon the clouds,
arms behind my head.
Eyes closed,
then open.
I sat up,
resting arms on my knees.
The clouds were grey.
The sky was pure white.
No voices,
all was still.
There was no down,
there was no up.
I knew I was awake,
though it felt dreamy,
unreal.
Amidst the clouds,
only a breeze blowing softly.
I was gone,
alone,
far away,
confused at first.
But I soon realized,
and laid back down.
All I needed was the silence.
To listen,
to understand,
I wasn't alone.
