Make-up
A rush of colors
Powder sprayed
A rainbow came to be.
I sit at the mirror with a box
The box has a mask
A mask that I paint on
An assortment of colors
I lay out my tools
Each has a different purpose
All to cover me up
I painted my skin back first
It washed the mistakes off my face
A sharpen pencil to color my eyes
The sketch of my eyes
Switching tools I go up
I paint the layer above my eyes
A green as bright as jade
It matches the blue of my eyes
More tools of black obsidian
The silver and black clash
My eyelashes shine out
The last tool for today
I uncap the blood red container
It paints over my lips softly
I pack up the box
Now time for the last pieces
I attach stones to my ears
Slip a ring onto my bottom lip
The painting is done
I leave.
