I saw that my life was a vast glowing empty page and I could do anything I wanted.
-Jack Kerouac

Cicada, sing your Siren’s Song softly,
Call me to thee,
Tempt and tantalize me.
Grasp me with your ghostly gaze.
Dance and dream with me for days.

I will climb to your celestial canopy,
As your melody melts mildly.
The closer I creep and crawl,
The more you fallacy seems to fall.

You elude me each and every evening,
Soundly stupefying me as you sing.
My meager mitts move to meet that mystical matter,
As it suddenly ceases to create its cry.

I couldn't get to sleep so I began doodling and stuff. I remembered how to make an origami cicada, so I did. A flow of emotions soon followed.
